OVERVIEW
Wallace & Smith Contractors was founded by H.R. Wallace and Earl O. Smith in 1950. Bart A. Wallace and George R. "Bob" Smith, the next generation, acquired the company in 1983 and continued the same construction services with many of the original employees. The Company's headquarters consists of a 6,500 square foot office building and 7,500 square foot shop/warehouse building situated on two acres in Bakersfield, California.
Our Company concentrates on commercial, industrial, institutional, agricultural, and aerospace building construction throughout California and the Western United States with licenses in Washington; Oregon; Nevada; and Arizona. Over the years we have acquired expertise in many types of construction including wood-framed; concrete tilt-up; masonry; steel framed; and pre-engineered steel. We are an authorized representative for several industry leading metal building distributors.
Working with a multi-faceted team of dedicated professionals, company officers Bart Wallace, Bob Smith and Paul Cooper, assure that the firms commitment to its clients is extended through quality workmanship and professional management. Familiar with the required detail in planning and implementing a building program, the company staff works together with clients, architects and other team members to provide a cost effective, service oriented approach to building projects.
